NHS Downs WA, 83-66
Traveling to face NEPSAC Class AAA foe New Hampton School at Cathedral HS in Boston as part of the BABC Prep Classic, Worcester Academy dropped this contest, 83-66.
Tied at 30 at the half, New Hampton got out to an early lead in the second half and never looked back, as shots wouldn't fall for the Hilltoppers. After a couple of rallies, New Hampton closed the door on WA and emerged victorious.
Junior forward Mitch Doherty (Acton, MA) lead WA with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Sophomore forward Judson Martindale (Sudbury, MA) scored 13 points, and junior guard Jordan McAllister chipped in 9 points.
WA will be back in action at Northfield Mount Hermon at 4:00pm.
