WA Falls To Lee

Taking part in the Zero Gravity Prep Classic at St. Andrew's School in Barrington, RI, WA dropped a contest to NEPSAC Class AAA member Lee Academy by a score of 56-52. The first half was all about defense, as both teams were able to get stops. Junior guard Paul Durkee (Shrewsbury, MA) paced the Hilltoppers with 12 first-half points. WA went in to the locker room trailing 25-23. Worcester kept fighting in the second half, coming back to tie the game on numerous occasions. Sophomore point guard Quest Harris (Lowell, MA) lead the charge with 16 points in the half, and junior guard Manav Randhawa (Ajax, Canada) hit a big 3-pointer in the corner to cut the deficit to two with under 20 seconds left. Lee hit their free throws and came away with the 56-52 win. Harris lead WA with 16 points, 10 assists & 7 rebounds. Durkee finished with 12, and sophomore forward Judson Martindale (Sudbury, MA) notched a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
