New Head Basketball Coaches Announced

Worcester Academy this week announced the appointment of two new head basketball coaches, for its boys and girls varsity basketball programs.

Molly Dullea, a former assistant women's basketball coach for Wesleyan University and for the University of Chicago, will succeed Kate McCabe as head coach of the Worcester Academy Girls Varsity Basketball Team. Jamie Sullivan, assistant coach of the Worcester Academy Boys Varsity Basketball Team, will succeed Ed Reilly as the team's head coach.

Mr. Reilly will continue in his role as director of athletics at Worcester Academy.

"Both Molly Dullea and Jamie Sullivan bring a wealth of experience to our athletics programs," said Dexter Morse, head of school at Worcester Academy. "Their leadership, their passion for the game, and their efforts on behalf of young people will energize our basketball programs and allow us to build on the successes of their predecessors."

In recent years, both the boys and girls varsity basketball programs have celebrated successes. In the 2005-2006 season, the girls varsity basketball team was undefeated, winning the NEPSAC championship in Class A. Two years earlier, the girls had won the NEPSAC Championship in Class B. In the 2002-03, the boys won their first NEPSAC Championship Class A title in 16 years.

Prior to founding Northeast Elite Basketball, she was Northeast Coordinator for Southern Premier Hoops and the U.S. Junior Nationals.

A graduate of St. Anselm College, Coach Dullea was a four-year starting point guard.
