Playing at the NEPSAC Class AA Showcase at Cushing Academy, Worcester fell to league rival Cheshire Academy, 81-67.
Cheshire came out strong out of the gate. WA crawled back into it, but Cheshire took a 39-31 lead into halftime. Sophomore point guard Quest Harris (Lowell, MA) lead the Hilltoppers with 11 first-half points, while junior guard Jordan McAllister contributed 8.
Cheshire's hot shooting in the second half proved to be too much for WA. Harris lead Worcester with 19 points, while McAllister scored 15. Junior forward Mitch Doherty (Acton, MA) chipped in 12 points.
Worcester will be back in action on Rowe Court on Wednesday as they take on St. Thomas More at 4:30pm.
