WA Cruises Past Andover
Riding a second half surge, the Hilltoppers beat Phillips Andover Academy on Rowe Court by a score of 77-57.
After PA came out strong, two 3-pointers by junior guard Manav Randhawa (Ajax, CAN) and one within the final minute of the half by junior forward/center Michael Rabinovich (Hopkinton, MA) put the home team on top heading into the locker room.
Up 35-28 at the half, junior forward Matt Corey (Londonderry, NH) drilled three 3-pointers early in the half to put the game out of reach. Junior guard Paul Durkee (Shrewsbury, MA) hit two of his own, and sophomore point guard Quest Harris (Lowell, MA) made big plays on both ends to keep the game out of reach.
Corey lead WA with 13 points. Junior forward Mitch Doherty (Acton, MA) scored 12 points, and Harris chipped in 10.
Worcester Academy will travel to Cushing Academy on Sunday at 3:30pm to play NEPSAC Class AA rival Cheshire Academy in the NEPSAC Class AA showcase.
