All six Worcester Academy varsity winter teams advanced to NEPSAC championship tournaments this past week.

Teams competing in NEPSAC (New England Preparatory School Athletic Council) championship tournaments were Girls and Boys basketball, hockey, swimming, wrestling, and skiing (the NEPSAC ski championships scheduled Wednesday in Franconia, NH, were canceled due to poor weather).

Tournament results included the following:

The Worcester Academy Girls Basketball Team lost to Noble and Greenough 50 - 38 in semi-finals Friday. On Wednesday, the WA Girls beat Choate 61 - 43.

Also on Wednesday, the Worcester Academy Hockey Team fell to Hebron 5 - 0, and the Worcester Academy’s Boys Basketball lost to Brewster 86 - 65.
